THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD

GET TO KNOW HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR WEALTH-TAKE IT BY FORCE

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy, and gathered out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right way that they might go to a city for a dwelling place. Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.
Psalm 107:1-9(NKJV)

FORWARD

It is with great privilege and profound joy for me to introduce this spiritually loaded and truth revealing book to our beloved readers.

The author has taken time to dig deep into redemption, benefits of redemption, the Redeemer and the redeemed of the Lord.

The redeemed of the Lord is a refreshing and challenging Christian book for the strong, matured, weak, and backslidden Christian as well as for unbelievers. Indeed, redemption is key in everybody’s life. It is instituted by God Himself. It is a ticket every living soul should have. Wole-Taiwo rightly points out who the Redeemer is, types of redemption, what man is redeemed from, and hindrances to redemption. He relates truth upon truth about the significances and benefits of redemption. He supported the truth in this book with some personal life experience. It is not just an ordinary book but a collection that was worded from the heart.

I therefore recommend this life-changing book to all mankind of all races, genders, nationalities and religions. I support this by quoting this noteworthy scripture;

‘When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive-right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrants cancelled and nailed to Christ’s cross. He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the cross and marched them naked through the street’ (Colossians 2: 13-15. The message Bible)

God bless you reader as you go through THIS BOOK.

INTRODUCTION

THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD

Redemption simply means the getting back of something or someone that had been lost to somebody (commonly an enemy), by the payment of a price (ransom). It is an exchange process. A redeemed person or thing is that person or thing that has first lost his original position of value but now regained it through the process of redemption. Redemption is however incomplete without a redeemer. This is the one who pays the price or ransom to bring back home the already sold, displaced, lost or stolen individual or item.

(Leviticus 25:25-27) 'If one of your brethren becomes poor, and has sold some of his possession, and if his redeeming relative comes to redeem it, then he may redeem what his brother sold. 'Or if the man has no one to redeem it, but he himself becomes able to redeem it, 'then let him count the years since its sale, and restore the remainder to the man to whom he sold it, that he may return to his possession. (NKJV)

This text shows an instance of physical or ‘man to man’ redemption, whereby the issue of money is involved. The entire process involves also the transfer of someone or something to the former owner. The item sold or lost could be redeemed by the man himself whenever he is able or could be redeemed by his family if he is unable but the family is able.
.
(Exodus 6:6-7) "Therefore say to the children of Israel: 'I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. 'I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the LORD your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. (NKJV).

The above passage is talking about spiritual redemption. This is different from monetary or item redemption. It is only God that can do this. Here the Redeemer is sending a message to man that He will bring him out from under the burden of Egyptians, and that He will rescue and redeem him with His outstretched arm. He is saying this to man so that he can be prepared now. According to the book of Isaiah chapter 59 verses 1 & 2, His hand may not reach man if there is availability of sin.

(Isaiah 59:1-2) Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. (NKJV)

The Lord is set to make people for Himself. These are the ones that are not under any bondage or any taskmaster. Who are your Egyptians or taskmasters? I wish you listed them out now before you continue with this book, because very soon, you shall see them no more. The following questions shall be addressed any moment from now in the book.

· Is there always a redeemer at every instance when a subject needs redemption?
· Is the subject ready always to be redeemed?
· Is there partial deliverance? That is, can the redeemer offer total redemption or the subject willing to receive total redemption?

CHRIST THE REDEEMER

The promise of God through prophet Hosea came to fulfillment with the coming of the saviour.

(Hosea 13:14) "I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. O Death, I will be your plagues! O Grave, I will be your destruction! Pity is hidden from my eyes.’(NKJV)

Jesus Christ came to pay for deliverance from servitude of sin and from its penal consequences. He was sent to redeem the captives

(Titus 2:14) who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. (NKJV)…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

CHARACTERISTIC OF CHRISTIAN REDEMPTION

Redemption obtained through Christ has the following features;

REDEMPTION IS UNTO GOD.

Revelation 5:9 says ‘And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, (NKJV)’

REDEMPTION IS ETERNAL.

Hebrews 9:12 says ‘Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. (NKJV’

REDEMPTION IS BY INCORRUPTIBLE THING.

1Peter1: 18-19 says ‘knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. (NKJV)’

REDEMPTION IS TOTAL AND PERFECT.

Genesis 48:16A says ‘The Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, …… (NKJV)’

TYPES OF REDEMPTION

The penal consequences of sin are numerous. It is sin that leads one into bondage, death, poverty; sickness, affliction, curse, victim to enemies, slavery etc. The good news is that, as numerous as the penalties of sin might be; the redemptive work on Calvary has taken care of them all.
We shall consider one after the other these various forms of redemption already catered for on the cross.

1. REDEMPTION FROM BONDAGE

2. REDEMPTION FROM DEATH

3. REDEMPTIOM FROM POVERTY

4. REDEMPTION FROM SICKNESS AND AFFLICTION

5. REDEMPTION FROM SINFUL ACT

6. REDEMPTION FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW

7. REDEMPTION FROM ENEMIES

8. REDEMTIOM FROM SLAVERY

HINDRANCES OF TOTAL REDEMPTION

Redemption of the Lord is for all. It marvels me why ‘A’ benefits from it and ‘B’ does not. There should be some conditions that are satisfied by A but not by B. These make B to loose out? What are those things that make B to loose out?

1. IGNORANCE

Legally, ignorance is not an excuse in the court of law. As only very few people know their legal and civil rights in the physical, so also it is in the spiritual.

(Luke 12:48) "But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few…………... (NKJV)

2…………………

CLAIMING THE REDEMPTIVE WORKS

Can Satan and the world let go easily their captive? Oh no. That can only be by force and by the payment of ransom. Isaiah 14:16 &17 make it known that Satan does not want any of his prisoners released. He would not allow the prison door to be opened.

(Isaiah 14:16-17) "Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: 'Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, Who made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, Who did not open the house of his prisoners?' (NKJV)

The price needed to be paid by born again child of God to regain his freedom from the curse of the law, bondage, poverty, enemies, slavery, death, sickness and lawlessness has, however, been paid on the cross of Calvary. To have total redemption lies therefore in the hand of the captive. The following are expected from those that want to be called ‘the redeemed of the Lord’.

1. TAKE IT BY FORCE.

(Matthew 11:12) "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. (NKJV).
